fireworks on the bridge

The 2009 Chrysler Jeep Boomsday Festival is a free day of family fun, fireworks and food with amusement games, children’s activities and live entertainment.

Celebrate 22 years of jaw-dropping fireworks with 400,000 of your closest friends. It’s fantastic! It’s fun! And it’s free—as always!

2009 Chrysler Jeep Boomsday Festival is 30 breathtaking minutes of fireworks—and more. The afternoon is filled with fun, so come early to enjoy all the festivities, food and great live music.

And getting there early means easier parking plus a great spot to watch the nation’s largest Labor Day weekend fireworks show. You’ll want to see the "smoke on the water," the spectacular "waterfall," and all the surprises in store from Pyro Shows.

The fun starts at noon, September 6, 2009, with fireworks (choreographed to terrific tunes) at 9:30 p.m. on Volunteer Landing at Neyland Drive. Recognized as a Top 20 event by Southeast Tourism Society, Knoxville’s signature event always draws a huge crowd. Use our helpful planning tools to get more information on the event site, traffic (land and water), parking, tips on what to bring (or not), and a schedule of the whole day’s events.
